31 players summoned for crucial AFCON qualifier

A group of 31 players has been summoned by the FUFA technical team in preparation for the crucial AFCON qualifiers against table leaders Burkina Faso on 24th March in Kampala. 

The same group is expected to be the pool from which the Cranes team that will play against Malawi will be picked. The tie against Malawi, scheduled on 30th March, will be the Cranes last group B encounter. 

The Uganda Cranes are currently second in the group with just a single point separating them from the table leaders.  

At a brief function held at the headquarters of FUFA, interim coaches Abdallah Mubiru and Livingston Mbabazi named the team which included Garvin Mugweri Kizito and Bobosi Byaruhanga from the U20 side.

4 goalkeepers, 10 defenders, 11 midfielders and 6 forwards have been named in a team that will enter residential camp on 18th March at the Cranes Paradise Hotel.
