After two fruitful long versions of cricket that kicked off last year on 19th-22nd December 2022 with the first match and 26th-29th December 2022 at Jinja SS Cricket oval, the third and final Four day match is set to take off on 2nd January 2023 at the same venue.
Over the period of the two games, a lot of cricketing talents have been seen on the field which at first hesitated to play the format but later fell in love with the way it’s played and are yarning for more.
Both teams come to the final match with Itanda taking a 1-0 lead that they picked in the first match with 5 wickets and drawing the second game against Busowoko.
There has been notable performances from players from both teams with the bat such as Wabwose Steven(120 runs off 233 balls), Kenneth Waiswa(101 runs off 187 balls), Pius Oloka(92 runs off 152 balls) and they will be looking at recreating the same vibe.
Kitamirike Marvin’s efforts throughout the two matches have been phenomenal with both the bat and the ball as he has been picking a number of wickets.
All odds lie on the Itanda side who have been a better side since the first match and will be looking at extending the same performance when the final game resumes.
Besides the on field session, the format is believed to have a great impact on the players’ time to come in terms of their patience, behaviour and beyond.
Action is expected to start tomorrow 2nd January 2023 at 10:30AM until 6:30PM for the next four days at Jinja SS Cricket Oval in Jinja City.
