Having lost the 1st leg of their CAF Champions League quarter final ties, Denis Onyango’s Mamelodi Sundowns and Tadeo Lwanga’s Simba will be faced with a hard task to overturn their first leg results to qualify for the Semifinals.

Denis Onyango’s horrible mistake put the South Africans in a tricky position when they faced Al Ahly in Pretoria at the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium. Sundowns will need to overturn the 2-0 defeat and hope that the Egyptians don’t score a vital away goal to progress to the semifinals.

Last season, the Sundowns went ahead to be knocked out at the stage of the competition by Al Ahly after the Egyptians won the 1st leg in Egypt 2-0 and drew 1-1 in South Africa.

Uganda’s Sulaiman Awuye will be the match commissioner for this heavily anticipated clash.

On the other hand, Tadeo Lwanga’s Simba have a much tougher task to overturn the 4-0 embarrassment they faced in South Africa to progress ahead of Kaizer Chiefs.

Simba hosted Kaizer Chiefs at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam needing to score more than 4 goals without reply from the South Africans to progress to the last four.

The Federation of Uganda Football Association’s communications director Ahmed Hussein will be the CAF media Officer and has already travelled to Tanzania for the Saturday 4 pm kickoff.
