In the semifinals of the Bowl Competition of the Rugby World Cup Sevens in Cape Town, Adrian Kasito of Uganda put on a marvelous performance after sprinting past his own goal post to score one of his team’s touchdowns as they defeated Hong Kong 05-14.
Norbert Okeny, who had already crossed the finish line against the Republic of Korea in the quarterfinal, scored the other attempt.
The extras were utilized by Philip Wokorach.
In the Bowl Competition final, Germany will square off against Uganda.
The most recent encounter between Uganda and Germany occurred last month in the Commonwealth Games and the Challenger Series in Chile.
In each fight, the latter emerged victorious.
Germany defeated Uganda 17–14 in their last encounter during Pool C play in the 2022 World Rugby Sevens Challenger Series in Santiago, Chile.
Uganda and Germany have faced off five times, with Germany winning each time.
