Advantaged Uganda Cranes on a qualification brink as they host Tanzania|2023 CHAN Qualifiers

Uganda vs Tanzania.

Uganda Cranes welcome Tanzania in the return leg of the CHAN 2023 qualifiers.

The two will face off on Saturday 3rd September at St Mary’s stadium Kitende at 4:00 pm Ugandan time.

Ahead of this tie, the Cranes of Uganda carry a 1-0 win advantage they managed last week at Benjamin Mkapa national stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Substitute Travis Mutyaba scored the lone goal for the visitors.

Cranes coach Milutin Sredojevic Micho has added four players to his team.

KCCA FC striker Shaban Muhammad is among. The former Onduparaka Fc frontman was dropped before the team set off for Tanzania in the first leg.

Winger Ibrahim Orit, defender Brian Mato, and Midfielder George Kasonko are other additions.

The Taifa stars of Tanzania sacked their head coach Kim Poulsen after a 1-0 home loss.

The winner on goal aggregate will qualify for the 2023 CHAN final tournament in Algeria.

If Uganda qualifies, this will be the sixth time in a row they will be taking part in the tournament.
