Abbey Bagalana shot a round of 1 under par 71 in Round 2 of the Ivory coast open at the President’s golf club in Yamoussoukro.
It should be remembered that Bagalana shot an opening round of 2 over par 74 on day one of the open where Nigeria’s Gift Willy shot a score of 8 under par 64 with Ghana’s Vincent Torgah and Visitor Mapwanya all tied in second with 5 under par 67 on day one.
The Ugandan professional golfer now has a two-day gross score of 145 going into round 3 after making a cut.
Meanwhile the long awaited season V of the match play challenge kicks off this weekend at the Entebbe golf club with a total of 208 golfers entering the qualifying round. Innocent Nahabwe and Adoch Luwum are the defending champions after winning season IV.
