Ft: Falcons 62-65 KIU Titans

KIU Titans were 7 points behind when Faisal Aden came to their rescue. On a nervy morning, the Kansanga outfit had a poor shooting play in a disappointing display.

Aden is a league star and it’s such performances that put him up there. He scored a joint high 16 points. But 12 of those came in the last quarter when the Titans were trailing.

The Falcons were leading 58-51 going into the third quarter. Before taking the lead, they were trailing by 3 points. They overturned the deficit in a 13-3 run to shock the Titans.

It is then that the star of Aden started to show. He initiated the rally back with a three-pointer from a corner throw.

Titans were hit back when Sentongo had two shots from the free-throwline. This was before his first jumping shot.

Balungu then reduced the deficit to 6 with a layup. Cometh the hour cometh the man, Aden scored two consecutive threes to tie the game 62-62.

With just a second on the clock, Aden perfectly timed his run, manoeuvred through two Falcons players and shot down a three to put the Titans ahead.

Peter Obleng scored 11 while Ariel Okal picked 11 rebounds for KIU Titans.

The falcons had Brian Ssentongo (16), Arthur Wanyoto (15) and Gerard Ayiko (12) combine for 43 of the team’s 62 points in the losing effort.
