City Oilers 66-59 JKL Dolphins
Adversity builds character over a length of time-City Oilers have forgotten how to lose as they continue to set the pace of the NBL at the top.
The 7-time champions were surprised when the Dolphins were 5-2 up in the first minutes of the first quarter. Oilers made sure they have not pegged behind again for the entire match.
By Half-Time, the champions were in a 34-28 lead. As both teams fought tooth and nail in the second half(31-31), Dolphins never came back.
For the Oilers, Jimmy Enabu took a game-high 16 points, Landry Ndikumana shot 7 of 17 from the field and collected 15 points while Caeser Kizito had 13 from the bench.
Brian Namake and Ivan Lumanyika had 11 points each in a game their bench outscored the team that started 35-24 for the Dolphins.
City Oilers remain unbeaten having won nine in nine games and look like a good bet for the championship.
They play KIU Titans in their last game of the regular season. The Titans are a formidable side of their own having lost only once this season.
Ndejje lost to the Falcons on Sunday as Samuel Ajal made 34 points for the University side. He shot 11 out of 18 in a losing contest. Falcons 77-76 Ndejje
Faisal Aden put up a stellar performance against KCCA Panthers. In a deserved win, 93-71, he had 34 points, 9 nine rebounds and 4 assists.
