After a successful first regional tournament in Soroti City last weekend, Batball together with the regional partners and the governing body in the country will be hosting the second regional tournament in Jinja City at Jinja sss cricket oval.
For uniformity across all the regions, Batball Open Nile Edition will be played by 56 players in four teams named after the common birds in the region and will compete for a period of two days to find the champions and best 16 players who will represent the region in the next challenge.
The four teams are Empungu, Buutu, Amakubi and Amakokotazi and will comprise of boys under the age of 19
A number of nine games shall be played and all the games will be live broadcasted on batball., v something that is slowly being introduced into the system to help the game grow.
Day one will comprise five games while four games will form the final day including the finals.
All awaits as four teams shall battle to form a team of 16 players that will go on to represent the region in the next challenge called Batball X.
