UK born Ugandan international footballer Bevis Kristofer Kizito Mugaba has signed a contract extension with Scottish premiership club Motherwell Football Club. This new deal sees the Ugandan international defender agree to stay with the Scottish Premiership club until the end of the 2021/22 season.

His current contract was soon expiring in May of this year.

The 25-year-old defender who joined Motherwell FC in the summer transfer of 2019 on a free transfer has been a crucial figure on and off the pitch for the Scottish club this season.

Bevis Mugabi represented Fulham and Southampton at youth levels before joining Yeovil Town as a free agent in the summer of 2016. Following Yeovil’s relegation, Bevis Mugabi was released and joined current club Motherwell on a free transfer.

Bevis Mugabi’s star rose when he equally rose sky high for a record-breaking header goal at a height of 8ft 6in. The Ugandan international scored this legendary header against Ross County Football Club in the Scottish Premiership this season. His headed goal beat the previous record set by Cristiano Ronaldo of a 8ft 6in header goal for Juventus FC against Sampdoria FC.
