Blacks Power FC lets go seven players

Uganda premier league debutants Blacks Power FC has confirmed the release of seven players with few days to second kick off.

Among the released players is goalkeeper Mohamed Ssekeba who joined them at the start of the season from Mbarara City FC where he was also released after the club was relegated to FUFA Big League.

Others are Baden Mujaidi, Othieno Steven, Musana Ronald, Onekalit Francis, Bronson Nsubuga and Muwawu Faizal.

“Following the player assessment meeting held on 16th January 2023 the management in accordance with the club performance and ethical policies made a fundamental decision to release the following players from the 2022/23 season squad.”

“Here at Blacks Power fc we wish to thank the above players for the dedicated service to the club and wish them the very best in their next endeavors.” Says the club official statement.

Hussein Mbalangu coached side ended first with 11 points collected from 14 games, 12th on the Uganda premier league table.

They managed two wins, five draws and suffered seven defeats scoring nine and conceding twenty tin the process.

The Lira based side will kick start second round away to BUL FC at the FUFA technical center in Njeru on 10th of February 2023.
