Mbarara City and BUL FC got the opportunity to complete their match that was cancelled yesterday due to heavy downpour in Jinja City. The two teams had played in the postponed match a period of 60 minutes, before Referee Deogracious Opio upon consultation with the fourth official Ronald Madanda and the assessor called off the game due to too much water on the field of play that could allow play to continue.
At 60 minute where it was interrupted yesterday, the two teams were already drawing at 1:1 thanks to goals from Jude Ssemugabi for the ANKOLE lion in the 20 minutes, before Wandyaka got an equalizer with few minutes remaining to the half time whistle.
Today the game was started at 59th minutes, as the two teams were given the opportunity to try and win this game for their respective sides, but to the disappointment of the fans who were not even available at the stadium due to a sanction by FUFA for breach of COVID-19 regulations. The two teams might have gotten one day of rest to complete the match, but the outcomes stayed the same at Full time whistle today in Jinja. Mbarara City with this draw dropped to position 10th in the league and BUL FC also dropped to 11th in the league after 22 games played this season.
Mbarara City will pay a visit to Bright Stars on Tuesday, 11th May 2021 at the Kavumba Recreation Stadium. Whereas on the same day, BUL will be away at Kitara in Masindi, at the Municipal stadium.
