BUL FC has one leg into the Uganda Cup quarter finals after today’s win at home , but Kigezi HomeBoys also managed to walk away with an away goal advantage which could help them overturn the result in the second leg when they host BUL FC at Kabale Municipal stadium.
BUL FC got an early lead 6 minutes into the game through Wandyaka Richard before Musa Esenu doubled the lead in the 22nd minute.
22 minutes later Kigezi HomeBoys FC pulled back with a goal through Denis Luboowa who scored from the spot to make it 2-1 .
The first half was concluded after 3 minutes of added time and BUL FC was leading by 2-1 .
BUL FC started the second half with a substitution, Tabu replaced by Sperm in the 46th minute.
In the 67th minute Mukongotya’s strike from a direct free-kick missed by an inch and went wide.
In the last minutes of the game BUL FC made a double substitution and Wandyaka paved way for Gwoto while Esenu was replaced by Ojok.
The 6 minutes of added time didn’t not yield anything for both sides and the game ended 2-1 in favor of BUL FC. Kigezi HomeBoys FC will wait until the second leg at home to see if they can make it to the last 8.
