Following their 3:1 win against Black Power yesterday at the Kyabazinga’s Stadium, Bugembe, BUL FC became the first team to book a slot in the Uganda Cup round of 16 for this year.
The Jinja-based team won the first leg of the competition against Black Power in Bukedea 2-0 at Emokori Grounds, and yesterday’s win gave them a 5:1 aggregate which secured for them a place in the round of 16.
Goals from Joseph Ssemujju, Simon Peter Oketch, and Robert Mukogotya were just enough to ensure BUL FC’s entry into the round of 16, meanwhile, for the visitors it was Michael Siwu who got the consolation goal.
Bul FC with their qualification to the round of 16 waits for the likes of prisons side Maroons FC, Terazzo and Tiles FC, Onduparaka, Luwero United, Busoga United, Vipers FC, MYDA FC, Proline FC who all play today Friday looking to go through to the next round of 16.
