BUL FC was up against Kyetume FC in game 17 of the UPL. Both teams were fielding for the third time in a space of two weeks and fatigue could have had an effect on the outcome of this fixture.
The Jinja based BUL FC were coming off to and fro travel to Bombo in the preceding week to tussle it out against UPDF FC home and away in the Uganda Cup.
Kyetume FC on the other hand also featured against Express FC in a two leg fixture of the Uganda Cup in what has been a busy week of football for the Mukono based UPL club.
BUL FC managed to knock out the army side while the Wankulukuku based Express FC had ended Uganda Cup his season dreams for the Mukono based Kyetume FC.
With the attention now turned to the UPL, BUL FC hosted Kyetume FC in Jinja for yet another game of football before the end of a busy fortnight. Now the teams were reminded of their league situations with BUL FC in mid table at 10th position and Kyetume FC 3rd from bottom and on the wrong side of a line of relegation from the UPL.
With all the team looking very solid in defence, the first 45 minutes ended goalless.
Play resumed and it became apparent that it was rather the attacks which may have been just more fatigued after a busy week of goal hunting.
However, Robert Mukoghotya managed to find one goal for BUL FC in the 73rd minute to put his side ahead.
In what looked like a lacklustre game, a shock equalizer came in in the 85th minute. Raymond Walugembe scored for Kyetume FC to make it 1 : 1.
And that is how it ended, with the referee bringing the game to end before either team could show themselves worthy of full points.
BUL FC momentarily rise to 9th position while Kyetume remain on top of the bottom three in the relegation zone.
