The contest between BUL and Mbarara City was washed off with half an hour remaining and will be continued on Sunday morning.
BUL FC hosted Mbarara City looking to build on their draw against SC Villa in gameweek 21 of the Uganda premier league. The game started with the two teams looking lively and daring to compete against each other favorably.
The first half was very entertaining as Mbarara City took an early lead in the 21st minute through Jude Semugabi to put his team 1-0 up. The away side were so much in control of the game, until Richard Wandyaka’s equalizing goal in the 44th minute that leveled proceedings at 1-1 going into halftime break.
The second period of the game started with rain threatening to interrupt the play, and indeed as expected, it started pouring heavily to the extent the game had to be cancelled with only an hour played. Tomorrow morning will see the two teams pick up from where they left off today.
It will be interesting to see who will be the winner of this dreaded and drenched encounter if not again disrupted. The winner in this match will move above the other as the two teams are level on 25 points, only separated by a superior goal difference Which BUL FC possess over Mbarara City.
