Wakiso Giants FC 2 – 3 Busoga United FC
Wakiso Giants FC lost at home in a goal galore, a game that twisted in a manner a few or no football analyst would imagine.
Clearly, Coach John Ayala had one job, to win the game and put pressure to the top and as mentioned in the game preview, only the consistent side will win the title.
Busoga United on the other hand got in this game as underdogs but did not lose their fighting spirit in the game.
Busoga United FC scored early in the game, through defender Peter Onzima which was later levelled by Ibrahim Kasule. Less than 10 minutes later, Wakiso Giant’s Kimboowa doubled the lead.
Busoga United kept the pressure on the purple sharks which later payed off as Laban Tibita leveled matters in the 78th minute.
Coach John Ayala made changes taking off Bukenya and Aliro and bringing on Nyanzi and Mukiibi.
As no one expected, Laban Tibita scored a late goal in the 87th minute to deny the purple sharks the draw on the day.
Busoga United FC has only picked three wins in the campaign currently, leaving the Jinja based side in the 14th position with a negative goal difference.
Wakiso Giants failed to capitalise on this opportunity to top the log. The Wakiso based side drops to the fourth position with 21 points.
