Hippos have had a torrid two weeks facing two teams in the top three and losing both matches to Kobs and Heathens.
Hippos coach Robert Seguya insists this season’s aim for the Jinja outfit is to finish in the top four. It makes the contest look like Hippos are out to ruin Pirates title charge. Coach Robert Seguya has made a few changes to the squad that last featured against Heathens. Echeru gets back into the squad at 10, T. Bagalana comes in at 13 and Etwau moves back in at 15.
The Pirates are out to conquer with a squad that has proved to be stronger for together the whole season. Ivan Magomu has contributed 30 points this season with 3 tries, 2 conversions and 1 penalty, the most from all the 21 players in the team. All the players have contributed with Conrad Wanyama too coming in with 5 points.
With Timothy Kisiga and Kelvin Balgadde leaving for the Rugby sevens, changes have been made in the squad with Nathan Bwambale coming back from injury to start at hook and Kenneth Matovu has come in the finisher to cover at tight head.
Pirates will be determined to win this to keep their hopes of winning the title alive with an upcoming game coming up against Kobs next weekend. It will mark the end of the season and could be the one that they will need to win the title if they end up winning against Hippos and KOBs lose their game against Impis.
