Cesar Lobi Manzoki, a striker from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, said goodbye to Vipers Sports Club this morning after two years with the Venom, who he helped propel to the top of the Uganda Premier League in his second season by scoring the league’s most goals, compiling the most assists, and winning league MVP.

Through his Twitter account, Manzoki expressed his gratitude to Vipers SC’s management and Dr. Lawrence Mulindwa.

“Dear venoms, it’s difficult for me to find the right words to say goodbye. I will forever cherish the beautiful moments and success during my two years. From the bottom of my heart thank you dad Lawrence Mulindwa, teammates, management, fans, and the media”, he tweeted.

Reports have it that Manzoki has completed a move to Chinese side Dalian FC on a 4 months deal till 31/12/2022.

The Chinese team was eager to make a significant short-term investment in Manzoki in order to give him a crucial task: helping his new team avoid relegation.

Manzoki has been a priority target for the two Tanzanian juggernauts Simba SC and Yanga SC, with the former appearing to have the best chance of signing him this year after expressing interest earlier this window with bids that Viper SC rejected.

Yanga SC of Tanzania made a bid for 140,000 dollars that Vipers accepted, but the club was unable to agree on personal terms with Manzoki, who demanded a free transfer to Simba.
