In the only one remaining game of game week 18 of the Uganda premier league today, KCCA hosted SC villa   at the MTN Omondi Stadium (Kampala), looking to bounce back to winning ways from their 2 : 0 loss to URA FC in midweek. First half ended 0 : 0 with the two teams looking very solid and denying each other the opportunity to take an early lead in the game.

After the half time break, the boys returned to the field from the dugout looking to implement the instructions from their managers. But it wasn’t going to be easy with two teams with a long history of playing against each other in the Uganda Super League.

But it was the 74th minute that saw the inform Charles Lwanaga score for KCCA to give them a second half lead with only 16 minutes of normal play remaining. KCCA with their advantage were able to hold proceedings at 1 : 0 long enough to secure them a win over their rivals Villa by the end of the full time whistle.

With this result, KCCA moved to the 4th position in the league on 33 points after 18 games played, whereas SC Villa remained in the 6th position on 29 points and 2 behind

Police FC who lost to Busoga United yesterday.
