Ugandan born North Alabama SC coach James Ssemambo will be leaving the club at the end of the spring season after being offered an opportunity to join the City of Huntsville’s Parks and Rec Department.

James has been part of the coaching staff at North Alabama Sc for 16 years and has been synonymous with North Alabama SC and the North Alabama soccer community.

James’s 16-year spell has seen him coach as an Assistant coach for both the Alabama A&M Lady Bulldogs soccer program and the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) men’s and women’s soccer programs. He was also head coach and assistant DOC for North Alabama SC.

During his time with North Alabama Sc, coach James has mentored and helped in the development of a number of coaches including the recently signed goalkeeper Andrew Nkurunungi.

His coaching style has always been inclusive of life experiences, mentoring and preparing both the women and men soccer players for life beyond soccer. His guidance inspired a number of young girls in Huntsville, Madison and all of north alabama to join the sport.

He is expected to start his new life at Huntsville’s parks and Rec Department at the kick off of the 2021 fall season.
