With preparations for the tour of Namibia intensifying, Cricket Cranes coach Laurence Mahatlane has acquired the services of the highly rated strength and conditioning trainer Helen Buteme.

Before the Cricket Cranes’ trip to ICC World Cricket Challenge League B scheduled for September this year, the first assignment for the former Lady Rugby Cranes captain is to schedule intense training shifts before the boys travel to Windhoek for their three T20s and Two limited overs (50 overs) game between April 2nd and 11th 2021.

It is yet to be seen if Buteme will be retained for the national women cricket team which was summoned early February this year to prepare for the upcoming ICC Africa T20 qualifiers scheduled to take place in Botswana in October 2021.

The national women cricket team is yet to find out who their opponents will be from a list of debutants Malawi, Botswana and Cameroon and seasoned campaigners Namibia, Nigeria, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Zimbabwe.
