Vipers SC beat BUL FC by 2-1 at Kitende to pile more pressure on KCCA FC who currently sits at the top of the table.

The game was closely contested from the start as Cromwell Rwothomio almost scored from close range as the BUL FC keeper Saidi Keni made the much-needed save.

Vincent Zziwa also took a free-kick and Fabien Mutombora made a diving save to puch the ball over the bar.

Later on in the 17th minute, Karim Ndugwa scored to put BUL FC ahead however this joy was short-lived as Captain Milton Karisa scored a rebound off Bright Anukani’s first shot.

The game was high tempo in both half and Vipers seemed to have more chances at home than their visitors.

In the 34th minute, Cromwell Rwothomio scored to pick his first ever goal for Vipers SC since he joined from URA FC last season.

The second half had a similar tempo, Milton Karisa was fouled in the penalty area, Anukani took the penalty but was saved by Saidi Keni to deny the vipers a further lead.

By far, Cromwell Rwothomio was up for a show in this clash while for Karim Ndugwa was great for BUL FC before being taken off in the 60th minute.

This win means Vipers maintain second position with 27 points while BUL FC remains 3rd with 24 points and 9 goal difference.
