Debutants King of Kings WFC beat Asubo Gafford Ladies FC in their opening game

Asubo Gafford Ladies Starting XI: 1-Babirye, 10-Shakirah, 44-Namuli, 17-Nakiryowa, 18-Nakayiwa, 15-Namatovu, 4-Nambirige, 11-Apolot, 7-Namagembe, 8-Sheebah, 20-Rachel.

Substitutes: Nuru, Kiiza, Mirembe, Nakayi, Tsyabak, Ada

King of Kings SS WFC Starting XI: 41-Kirungi, 19-Amanyire, 12-Kobugabe, 6-Kyererezi, 18-Kaheru, 13-Katusabe, 20-Kanyiginya, 15-Kabahuma, 8-Kabachaki, 17-Katusiime, 7-Kanyiginya.

Substitutes: Kemigisa, Atulinda, Karungi, Kangume, Kahwa.

The second game of the day was also delayed due to the late kickoff in the first game that saw both games starting one hour late.

After 21 minutes of play the game was stopped as King of Kings goalkeeper Diana Kirungi was receiving treatment after colliding with Janat Apolot.

In the 33rd minute Katusiime Evelyn put King of Kings WFC into a lead with a beautiful finish, she ran and lobbed the ball past goalkeeper Babirye into the back of the net followed by CR7 celebration style.

7 minutes were added at the end of first due the time spent during Kirungi’s treatment, the final whistle was blown with Katusiime’s goal the difference of the game.

2 minutes into the second half Shakira Mutiibwa found an equalizer for Asubo Gafford but her goal was canceled for a foul.

Asubo Gafford Ladies FC had plenty of chances but King of Kings couldn’t allow them to find an equalizer, Shakirah Mutiibwa was a threat to the Kings defence at several occasions.

3 minutes were added at the end of 90 and the game ended with Katusiime’s first half goal separating the two teams.
