At the Bombo Stadium today, SC Villa hosted BUL FC looking to bounce back from their 2 : 1 defeat away to Mbarara City over the weekend. But what we are seeing is quite the opposite of the SC Villa we once knew and adored for being the most decorated team in Uganda. At halftime they played goalless with Villa looking less dangerous than the away team.
The second half started with all still left to be taken for both sides in the game, and it was BUL FC who first in the 70th minute through Musa Esenu to make it 1 : 0 to them with 20 minutes remaining on the clock. SC Villa had to play catch up and it wasn’t until the dying minutes did Mohammad Nsereko score in the 90+3 minute of added time to make it 1 : 1 to deny BUL FC 3 points in the game. With their draw Villa now dropped to the 7th position on 31 points, only one point above Bright Stars who play tomorrow while BUL FC occupies the 9th position on 25 points after 21 games played this season.
