By the time Aaron Ofoywroth made a try for Uganda, Kenya was already 19 points ahead of their East African counterparts. The Kenyans extended their lead further even before the first half of the game could close.

The half time whistle was blown with the score at 05 : 24 in favour of the Kenyans.

There was little action in the second half of the game. This was especially true for the Ugandan side as it was Kenya that at least managed to score an extra 12 points to push their lead to 05 : 36.

Uganda lost out to Kenya in what was the plate final of the second tournament of the series. This ensures that Uganda finished 6th in the second tournament held in the second week of the series.

The first week of the series was completed last weekend with Uganda finishing 7th in that week’s tournament.

There will not be much celebration at the end of this series of rugby sevens. In two weeks of the Dubai Emirates Invitational 7s and two tournaments played, Uganda managed two wins and suffered ten loses.

Wins against Spain and Japan in the first and second tournaments of the series will be no consolation but hopefully building blocks for better results in upcoming series in the year.
