Emmanuel Loki scores a late winner to give Bright Stars a 2:1 home win over Express

After drawing in two consecutive games against Mbarara City and SC villa, Express FC today travelled to Kavumba Recreation Center (Kayunga) to face Bright Stars. And after almost 41 minutes of halftime play, Express FC broke the deadlock through Ibrahim Kayiwa who scored in the 43rd minute to give his team a first half lead. Express conceded a penalty in the 45+3 minutes which they survived luckily after the penalty was missed by Bright Stars. The  first half ended 1:0 in favor of Express FC.

In the 77th minute, Samuel Ssekamatte scored for Bright Stars to make it 1:1. After levelling the game, the Soltilo boys decided to go for the all three points and the moment they were looking for came in the 87th minute when Emmanuel Loki scored the late winner with only 3 minutes remaining to the end of normal play.

The final score at Kavumba Recreation Center was 2:1 in favor of the home team. Express with this defeat still occupy 3rd position in the league with 37 points, only three above Police FC  who are in fourth position, whereas Bright Stars moved to the 6th position with 29 points after 19 games played this season.
