The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has today named a youthful squad of 34 players who will start preparations for the international friendly game against South Africa on June 10th 2021 in South Africa.

Both teams agreed on playing this game as a result of the cancellation of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers by CAF due to an increase in the number of Covid 19 patients in most of the African Countries.

The team that will camp at Cranes Paradise hotel from Sunday 30th May 2021 is set to start training on Monday 31st May 2021 at the Philip Omondi Stadium in Lugogo under the guidance of interim Coach Abdallah Mubiru.

Emmanuel Okwii replaces the now retired Denis Onyango as team Captain. It is yet to be determined who will replace Denis Onyango in goal as long term 2nd choice goalkeeper Salim Jamal was not called for national duty.
