FUFA Big League entity NEC FC are in pole position to land the the signature of veteran striker Geoffrey Sserukuma.
Sserukuma 39, is a free agent after he left another 2nd division side MYDA FC in 2021.
The proven goal poacher has previously featured for KCCA FC, Police FC, Wakiso Giants FC, Lweza FC (now Tooro United) and Victoria University FC in Uganda.
Out of the the pearl of Africa, Sserukuma played for Bloemfontein Celtic and Bidvest Wits in South Africa, Napsa Stars FC and Buildcon FC in Zambia.
Geoffrey Sserukuma also featured for Wakiso Giants Fc.
The Bugolobi based side NEC FC have largely depended on Kamoga Ivan and Marvin Calvin for goals since the start of the season.
Coach Lukyamuzi Michael side are currently 2nd on the FUFA Big League table with 27 points after 13 matches. They have won 8, drawn 3, lost 2 scoring 19 and Conceding 7 in the process.
Their next assignment is away to 11th placed Lugazi FC on Thursday 12th of January 2023.
