The Uganda premier league is at its best, as Express Football Club handed Vipers their first home defeat for the 2020/2021 season, after securing 1 : 0 victory at the St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Express FC travelled to Vipers today looking for their first win against the team they last beat in 2016 at Nakibubu 1 : 0, and today they managed to rewind time, all thanks to the 65th minute goal from John Byamukama. His stunning long range effort ended the venom’s excellent run of form while playing at their home this season.

Express had a brilliant start to the game with all the best chances going only to the Red Eagles, as in the 5th minute we saw winger Godfrey Lwesibawa directing a great chance towards the Vipers’ goal.

The venom’s lack of chances in the game is something that must be highlighted and today it cost them another chance to go 3 points clear at the top of the table. They remain joint top with URA FC who play Bright Stars  tomorrow and a win could send them 3 points clear of the venoms.
