Blacks Power FC held Express FC to a scoreless draw on Wednesday at the Muteesa II Stadium in Wankulukuku.
The Red Eagles lacked coordination, attacked with little urgency, and were utterly deserving of yet another draw.
Express has failed to earn all possible points in their last seven games as they have lost four times and drawn three times in a row.
The hosts’ lone deliberate danger of the first half against Blacks Power FC came in the 10th minute, but Hassan Mubiru looped millimeters over the bar with goalkeeper Emmanuel Odongo beaten.
The second half didn’t really change much until Ivan Mayanja, a replacement, disturbed Odongo with a long range shot in the 70th minute.
On the other end, Express defender Arthur Kiggundu offered a sliver of menace, but his headed effort lacked the strength to cause Odongo any problem.
Blacks Power are ranked 12th in the 15-team standings with 11 points, while Express concluded the first round of the season in ninth place with 17 points.
