Former Kololo SS, Kibuli SS, National Under 20, 23 and Express Left midfielder Ali Semyalo has been hospitalised under critical condition.
The news of his sickness was shared by former Uganda Cranes winger Godfrey Mugisha aka Moogy on his social handle. “One of the most gifted midfielders to have graced the beautiful game has been admitted. Praying for you brother Ali Semyalo. Wish you a quick recovery”. The former KCC attacker wrote.
His former teammate Fred Tamale was touched by Ali’s situation and was quick to respond by replying in the comments section, “ Sorry quick recovery Ali”.
Semyalo is part of the Express class of 1995 team which won the club’s only league and cup doubles in a team that had the likes of Willy Kyambadde, Joseph Mutyaba, Fred Tamale and Kefa Kisala among others.
Along with Andrew Arinaitwe, Ali Semyalo were always introduced especially when matches were tight during that historic season with the former competing for a spot with Kefa Kisala and Jackson Nyima.
Nicknamed Ally Wire, Semyalo is better known for his great artistry style of play and dead-ball situations where he featured for clubs Express Fc and URA Lyantonde Fc.
