Fufa competitions disciplinary panel has banned Busoga United from allowing fans for their next match against Onduparaka for non compliance to FUFA COVID-19 regulations.
The latest development comes in after Busoga United was found guilty of allowing spectators into the stadium in a match against Kitara FC on 18th March 2021 without a written authorization from FUFA.
“It’s unfortunate that we have been found guilty of non-compliance to FUFA COVID-19 regulations and we take the decision in good faith”. A statement read from Busoga United FC.
It further read that “We therefore request our our dear fans to #STAY #Away from FUFA Technical Center Njeru tomorrow 31st March 2021 to avoid further sanctions. We shall do everything possible to have you back in the stands soonest”.
According to article 10 of the FUFA COVID-19 regulations;
- All matches shall be be played without spectators
- Spectators shall only be allowed with written permission from FUFA.
- Any club/team that violates Art10(2) above shall be liable to disciplinary action.
