FUFA Big League: 2nd Round kickoff date revealed

The second round of the 2022/2023 FUFA Big League season kick start date has been set as Thursday 9th of February 2023.

On that date eight fixtures will be played at different play ground.

First round table leaders resume their quest for top flight promotion away to Lira where they take on Northern Gateway FC at the gate stadium.

In the verse fixture in first round at Kigaya play ground in Hoima City Kitara fc ran riot thumping Northern Gateway FC 4-0 where Patrick Henry Kaddu opened his goal account at the club with a hat trick on the day and Edson Agondeze scored the other goal.

The Ankole Lions Mbarara City FC who are second on the table will too be away to Masindi visiting Booma FC at Masindi stadium. The home side emerged 3-1 at Kakyeka stadium in first round. First round top scorer Omedi Denis scored the first ever goal for Booma FC in the 2nd division.

NEC FC who sit 3rd on the log will be at home Bugolobi coffee ground welcoming Calvary FC from Lira.

NEC FC captain Kavuma Marvin scored a double as the visitors claimed maximum points away to Arua over Calvary FC at Midigo primary school play ground.

Other fixtures Jinja North United FC will host Ndejje University Fc at Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe and Kyetume FC welcome Kataka FC at Nakisunga ssaza ground in Mukono.

At Lugazi play ground, the home team Lugazi FC will entertain Police FC, Adjumani Town Council FC at Paridi play ground host Soroti City FC.

In Ibanda Kaaro Karungi FC will host Luweero United at St George’s arena play ground.

Matchday 17 and 18 will be played on Thursday 16th February and 23rd February respectively.

The league will climax on Thursday 18th of May 2023 with matchday 30.

At the end of the season the top three clubs will automatically gain promotion to Uganda premier league while the bottom four drop to regional league.
