The 2021 FUFA Big League season which kicked off on Thursday 25th March 2021 will come to an end today 13th June 2021 with 8 games from the Rwenzori and Elgon groups.

In the Elgon group, Arua Hill SC will be looking for only a point to confirm their qualification to the Uganda Premier League after maintaining an unbeaten run with 27 points from the 13 games.

Gaddafi FC already confirmed their slot in the playoffs with Kataka FC and Blacks Power battling for one slot remaining.

Blacks Power currently in the 3rd position with 21 points and 4 goals has an upper hand over Kataka FC which has 18 points and -6 goals, so only a point for Blacks Power will be enough.

At the bottom of the table Paidha, black Angels only managed to collect 5 points confirming their relegation to the third division with either Mbale Heroes FC and Calvary FC being the next candidate for relegation after collecting 16 points from the 13 games for both teams.

However, their luck comes after the Regional League season was cancelled due to increased cases of COVIDP-19 leading to disruption of various sports activities across the country. This means there will be no teams to be promoted from the Regional Leagues to the FUFA Big League keeping all the 14 teams in the league until next season.

In the Rwenzori group, Tooro United and Proline FC will be aiming at getting all three points to confirm a slot in the Uganda Premier League next season and collecting 28 and 26 points respectively from the 13 games.

Nyamityobora FC already confirmed a slot in the playoffs for next season with 21 points from the 13 games.

At the bottom of the table, all the last 5 teams will be battling to survive the relegation zone with a difference of two points from the second last team and the fifth last team.

The last five teams from the bottom include Terrazo and Tiles FC, Ndejje University FC, Kigezi HomeBoyz FC, Water FC and Luweero United FC respectively.

Also, their chances of remaining in the league were determined by the cancellation of the Regional League season.
