After succumbing to a 1:0 defeat to Tooro United in their last match, Proline FC hosted Terrazzo and Tiles at the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in an early kick off clash in the Big League that was to be followed by a Uganda Premier League match between KCCA and Busoga United.
As expected by many, Proline Football Club defeated Western Uganda based side Terrazzo and Tiles by 2:0 during the hot afternoon in Lugogo to go to 17 points on the Big League table. Goals from veteran forward Hamis Diego Kiiza and midfielder Hakim Kiwanuka in the first half were enough to give Proline FC a 2:0 win over the visiting side.
Hamis Kizza notched home the opener past goalkeeper Peter Otine, from a well planned pass by Rogers Mato who found Kizza to set him for the opening goal. And with a few minutes remaining on the clock until the end of the first period, Kiwanuka scored the second to put the home side 2-0 up heading to the half time break in Lugogo.
In the second half with the match already far away from the visitors, teenager Alpha Ssali Thierry was given a chance to come and play his part in the game after he replaced Kiwanuka who scored the second goal in the game. At 2:0 up, Proline defended in numbers to prevent their opponent from coming back into the game until the end of 90th minute in Lugogo to secure a 2:0 win.
The victory pushed Proline to 17 points, three from Rwenzori group leaders Tooro United who played host to Nyamityobora later on Sunday evening, whereas Terrazzo and Tiles remain bottom with 7 points from 10 matches.
