Match day 11 in the FUFA Big League saw Proline FC host Nyamityobora FC after they were eliminated out of the Uganda CUP by BUL FC on aggregate. Proline FC, still feeling nostalgic from the cup defeat, needed to bounce back to winning ways to keep their hopes of qualifying for next year’s Uganda Premier league competition alive.
The action between the two sides took place at the MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo, where Proline eased past Nyamityobora 4:0 to apply pressure on the Rwenzori group leaders Tooro United. A brace from Ivan Ocholit and one goal apiece from skipper Noordin Bunjo and veteran striker Brian Umony ensured that Proline FC got the 4:0 results today to help keep pace with the leaders Tooro United. Nyamityobora failed to match the pace of the game set by the Proline FC players who were still very distraught from their cup exit and needed to run riot in this fixture in order to forget their loss.
FIFA Referee Ronald Madanda successfully officiated the game without any technical difficulties and at full time in Lugogo, it was Proline 4:0 Nyamityobora FC. With these results, Proline moved to 20 points only six below leaders of Rwenzori Group Tooro United who had a 3:2 win over Terrazzo and Tiles.
