The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has inflicted more pain on bottom clubs Busoga United and Kyetume for breach of Covid19 regulations.
The Federation found both of the two teams guilty of allowing fans into the stands on March 18 at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
Busoga United was up against Kitara FC while Kyetume FC was playing MYDA FC and both teams will play their next home games without any fans.
The judgment was based on the fact that the club allowed fans into the stadium, and most of the fans were seen not wearing face masks.
Article 10 of the FUFA COVID-19 Regulations clearly states that “All matches shall be played without spectators,” and that “fans shall only be allowed with written permission from FUFA.”
So our sports lovers, please don’t be surprised if you see Busoga United’s game against Onduparaka on Wednesday having no fans and the same for Kyetume FC tie against Police on Saturday.
