FT: Vision WFC 0-1 Amuria High School
Venue: FUFA Technical Centre
The game between Amuria High School and Vision WFC was the last game in Group C in the FUFA Women Elite League which kicked off on Thursday 20th May 2021.
Amuria High School had the best performance in the group and managed to register the biggest win of the tournament so far with an 8-1 win against St. Peters Apoi Girls.
Vision WFC came into today’s game with a big hill ahead of them after Ajax Queens’ win earlier today because they needed a win against Amuria High School to make it to the Quarter finals.
The first half of the game was a tight half where both teams failed to find a goal despite creating chances.
Amuria High School came back stronger in the second half searching for goals but it was not an easy task for the Amuria girls until the 71st minute when they found the back of the net through Rukia Aringo’s strike.
They had to hold onto the game for the remaining minutes until the final whistle for their third consecutive win of the tournament.
