The 2021 FUFA Women Elite League FC concluded today Thursday 3rd June with two games at the FUFA Technical Centre Njeru.

The first game was a third-place playoff between Bunyaruguru Girls FC and Wakiso Hills FC that saw Bunyaruguru Girls finish in the third position.

The first game started at 9:00 am with the two teams that lost in the semifinals competing for third place.

Norah Alupo opened the scoring for Bunyaruguru Girls in the 21st minute and it was her fourth goal of the tournament.

Seven minutes later Sarah Namatovu levelled the matters with a superb header to make it 1-1 for Wakiso Hills before the halftime break.

At the end of the first period, both teams had scored once with their hopes of winning remaining in the second half.

Twenty minutes into the second half Norah Alupo restored Bunyaruguru Girls’ lead completing her brace and taking her score tally to 5 goals in the competition.

Bunyaruguru Girls managed to hold on to the game amidst dangerous attacks from Wakiso Hills winning the game 2-1.
