Rines Women Football Club became the second team to book a place in the Semi-finals of this year’s FUFA Women Elite League after beating Dynamic SS Jjeza in a tight encounter on Saturday afternoon.
Both teams displayed a defensive game which led to few scoring opportunities for either side with both teams struggling to find the breakthrough.
The first half had only two chances, one falling to Shadia Nabukenya of Dynamic SS Jjeza while Rines skipper Shakirah Nalule hit the ball wide in the last minutes of the half.
In the second half, Rines started on the front foot and created several chances but failed to find efficiency in the final third.
Yuster Kayesu who came in as a substitute nearly broke the deadlock with five minutes on the clock but her feeble effort was saved by goalkeeper Scovia Kabiiri.
In the penalty shootouts, Rines WFC was perfect and had goalkeeper Elsie Najjemba to thank after saving Victoria Namakula’s effort.

On the other hand, Daphine Nalubowa, Aisha Namukaaya, Frankline Natumanya and Sandra Nakalya scored for Dynamic SS Jjeza.
