FT: SHE Maroons 2-1 Wakiso Hills WFC

She Maroons secured a slot into the quarterfinals of the FUFA Women Elite League after a 2-1 win over Wakiso Hills WFC on Wednesday 26th at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.
With a goal down the Prison Warders fought back to win the game and progress to the quarter finals.
Two minutes to the end of first half Faridah Nanyonjo gave Wakiso Hills a lead with her goal being the difference between the two teams at half time.
However, SHE Maroons returned in better shape in the second period with substitute Winnie Kyomugisha turning the game around.
The forward levelled matters with a well taken free kick, three minutes after coming on. She later scored the winner converted from the spot after Lillian Veronica Masinde was brought down in the box.
After collecting six points and 6 goals from the opening two games She Maroons are now on top of group D and have already qualified for the knock-out stages.
They will play their final group game against Lango Queens while Wakiso Hills will take on Ehcos WFC
