FT: Wakiso Hills 0-0 Lango Queens
Venue: FUFA Technical Centre Njeru

Group D teams kicked off their FUFA Women Elite League campaign with Wakiso Hills taking on Lango Queens in the game played today Tuesday 25th May, 9:00am at the FUFA Technical Centre Njeru.

The game resulted in a goal less score at Full time.

In a game of limited scoring opportunities, both Wakiso Hills and Lango Queens looked blunt on the day, especially in the final third.

Wakiso Hills dominated the game taking the biggest percentage of the ball possession.

Faith Namuddu and Sylvia Namiwanda had a few chances to put Wakiso Hills ahead but failed to utilize them.

This was the first goalless draw in the FUFA Women Elite League this season.

According to the FUFA website Kamya, the coach of Wakiso Hills indicated that they will build on the point earned in their next games.

“Our target is to still qualify out of the group. We wanted three points but the point earned today is not safe.” He said.

His counterpart, Patrick Bongo on the other hand stated that this was the first time for most of the players and he believes the playing surface had a bearing on their performance.

“I’m happy that we got a point. Most of the players were only making their debut and it was their first time playing on the artificial turf.” He indicated.

Wakiso Hills WFC Starting XI: Zulaika Ayikoru, Stella Kawala, Jalidah Nagawa, Faridah Namirimu, Shubayiyah Namale, Sarah Namatovu, Justine Birabwa, Slyvia Namiwanda, Catherine Tibasiima, Faith Namuddu
