The Futsal Association of Uganda has cleared Big Talent’s Farouk to play against Aidenal SOSA FC this weekend after it revoked the second yellow card the player received in the opening day victory against KJT.
Big Talent soccer academy officials engaged in a technical discussion with the competition’s director for Futsal League 2021 where they heavily contested the 2nd bookable offense which was unjust.
After serious reviews and considerations, the committee revoked the card on technical grounds.
A statement from the club read, “We thank the Futsal League Committee for their consideration and allowing us to listen to our appeal”.
Elsewhere Park Futsal Club coach James Ssegawa believes that the team took things for granted after they blew away a 2-goal lead in their opening 4-4 draw against Kisenyi. He believes that this time there will be no room for error.
Ssegawa said, “We faced worthy opponents and also lay our guard down in the second half with a comfortable lead which laid the foundation for complacency hence the results. This was a good lesson for us.”
Next for Park Fc is a date with group leaders Synergy this weekend. This will be a huge task for the table leaders and head coach Brian Ssengendo expressed his fear of the experienced players at Park FC. “Going into match day two, we noticed that Futsal is a game of tactics, we just have to work on our tactical approach, improve on our defense and how to score more goals,” coach Ssengendo said.
