Park Futsal Club who waited until game week 6 to qualify for the semifinal, knocked out Mengo Futsal Club who qualified from the group stage during the regular season with one game to spare. In the first semi final played yesterday, Park Futsal Club fought hard to overcome Mengo Futsal Club by 1:0 to make it to this year’s final.
Park skipper Iddi Babu scored the only goal that separated the two sides in a fairly contested semifinal match at Old Kampala Sports Arena. After scoring their goal through their captain, Park Futsal Club put on a good defensive display to out-muscle their opponent to finish the game at 1:0 at full time. This was a historic win for Park FC and after beating Mengo Futsal Club, they will face Big Talent who overcame Synergy in a seven goal thriller to secure their spot in this year’s final.
Mengo Futsal Club and Synergy who failed to make it to the final, will now compete in the third place play off on the same day the final will be played.
The final match will be held on 19th June at the Old Kampala Sports Arena with Park FC taking on Eddy Kenzo’s Big Talent Soccer Academy
