Big Talent CEO Eddy Kenzo yesterday got some fantastic news to better his 42 days of lockdown, as his team overcame Synergy Futsal Club to book their place in the final of this year’s Futsal Super League season. Big Talent who are newcomers made their way into this year’s Futsal Super League campaign with a blast, leaving behind the likes of Yeak Kabowa the current champions, to make their way to this year’s final.

In yesterday’s match, they muscled their way from a 2:0 deficit to a 4:3 win at Old Kampala Sports Arena. Mutyaba’s well taken penalty gave Synergy an early lead in the game, before Kyeyune added a fantastic second goal to extend their lead to 2:0. Big Talent were reduced to four men after Ronald Kaye was sent off due to unsporting conduct. This did not stop Big Talent as they pulled a goal back through Wabyoona who directed in a well laid ball from Farouk Tumwesigye to make it 2:1. Katende then scored an equalizer from the penalty spot to make it 2:2  before going into halftime break at the Old Kampala Arena.

In the second period, Sabir restored Synergy’s lead in the game, making it 3:2. Wabyoona scored for Big Talent FC to level at 3:3, before Katende missed a penalty in the game. But luck was on the Big Talent’s side after they won another penalty at the dying minutes of the game, and this time Asiimwe found the back of the net to make it 4:3 sending his team to this year’s Futsal Super League final.

Big Talent Soccer Academy will now face Park FC in the final of the league on Saturday the 19th June, 2021. UGsports will keep you updated as the best team wins.
