Matchday 4 of the futsal in the futsal competition kicked off today at Old Kampala Sports Arena with Kisenyi taking on Park. Junior Abbas helped Park dismantle Kisenyi 1-6 with a well-orchestrated hat trick in the game. Sam Kalyango followed him with a brace and skipper Iddi Babu added one goal to crown the morning 6-1. And Brian Nsereko scored Kisenyi’s only goal on the day.

The scoreline recorded by Park today was very convincing as they troubled their opponents Kisenyi all morning with key players like Abbas, Sam Kyalango and skipper Babu demonstrating some classic performances to stand their opponent in today’s mouthwatering encounter at Old Kampala.  With emotion flying high in the game, two players of Kisenyi and one from Park were cautioned respectively, as the referee of the day issued a yellow card to Tonny Ssemwogerere and Omar Ahmed Abdifata whereas Park’s Shafiq Mulangira also had his name taken in the match.

This victory for Park coincidentally collided with the day former Proline winger Sulah Matovu was making his debut in the Futsal Super League, and one could argue that his start to the Futsal sport was a blessing in disguise for Park now has 5 points, five away from the leaders Synergy who humbled Yeak Kabowa 5-3. Kisenyi on the other hand remained third on the table with four points collected from four matches.

Park next plays Synergy on matchdayleader’s 5 this Saturday, and many will be looking towards this early encounter at 9:00 AM.

Summary of today’s results

Kisenyi 1-6 Park

Yeak Kabowa 3-5 Synergy

Aidenal 1-5 Mengo

Big Talent 4-4 Kampala Junior Team (KJT)
