Futsal Super League: Kisenyi survive narrowly at Yeak Kabowa to climb to second in Victoria Group

Matchday five of the Futsal Super League today saw Kisenyi Futsal Club clashed with Yeak Kabowa in the Victoria group at the Old Kampala Sport Arena on Saturday May 29, 2021. After holding KJT to a draw yesterday to deny them their first win of the competition, Kisenyi Futsal Club took on another task today and for today’s encounter their mission was simply to win and move to the second spot in the Victoria group.

With a little bit of assistance from Abdul Swaburu Mugenzi through his own goal and another one from Ibrahim Ali Abdukadir, Kisenyi Futsal Club managed to pipe their rival 2:0 to move second in the Victoria Group. Abdul Mugenyi’s incident was very unfortunate as he turned the gun towards his own goal to help Kisenyi score one of their goals.

Abdukadir needed the second half to score Kisenyi’s second goal in the game and after his goal they defended to deny their opponents a goal in the game until the full-time whistle. This was Kisenyi’s second victory of the season which has taken them to the second position with seven points and with this win they have now displaced Park Futsal Club from the second spot after they were beaten early in the morning by Synergy 4:2.

The next match for Kisenyi will be against the already qualified Synergy who is playing very well and haven’t lost a game yet in this competition.

Yeak Kabowa will be up against Park Futsal Club who will need all the maximum points and at the same time praying that the inform Synergy will beat Kisenyi in order for them to qualify.
