Match day two of the Futsal Super League produced mouthwatering encounters with the top two in the Albert Nile winning their second consecutive games in a weekend of comebacks.
Mengo Futsal Club won its second straight game after registering a 3-1 win against Kampala Junior Team in the 11:00 am kickoff. KJT which has big names like Dan Wagaluka went behind at half time 2-0. Abaasi Kyeyune pulled one back before the Stormers scored the 3rd to bury the tie and lead the team to their second consecutive victory.
Big Talent Futsal Club also came from 2 goals down to win 3-2 against a highly spirited Aidenal SOSA FC in a game which saw Big Talent’s captain Wabyona Faizal assist all the three goals.
In the Victoria Nile group, Kabowa threw away a 3-goal lead to lose 4-3 against Kisenyi Futsal Club. It was Kisenyi’s first win of the season thanks to a brace from Shafiq Avemah who brought the team back in the game. Mohammed Abdirahim and Ahmed Omar completed the comeback.
The game between Synergy and Park FC brought out the best from both teams as they drew 5-5 in the day’s last game. Quick attacking football from Park in the first half enabled them to take a 3-goal lead before Ivan Irinimbababazi pulled one back through a penalty kick. Two quick goals at the start of the 2nd half from Suleiman Kimbugwe and Irinimbabazi levelled matters for Synergy. Park restored their 2-goal lead shortly but they were left powerless to hold on as Synergy pushed on for the equalizer.
Action returns next weekend with the top of the table clash between Mengo FC and Big talent FC in the Albert Nile group while the Victoria group will also experience the top of the table clash between Synergy FC and Kisenyi FC.
