As the 2021 Futsal Super League comes to a climax this weekend, we take a look at the list of seven players eyeing the golden boot. Over the years the race for the golden boot has been a big contributor to players’ competitiveness in the game of football, especially among goal poachers. And for the 2021 Futsal Super League season, our eyes are fixed on one man from KJT club called Bill Nkata, who has already scored a total of 14 goals to his name during this current campaign that will come to a close on Saturday 19th.June 2021.
Bill Nkata is being trailed in the race for golden boot by Travis Mutyaba of Synergy Futsal Club with 12 goals. Mutyaba’s individual goal tally of 12 was very instrumental towards sending Synergy to the semis final of this year’s Futsal Super League, even though they failed to progress to the final thanks to a 4:3 defeat to Big Talent team. But there is still hope for his side to finish third and him winning a golden boot if he scores three or more goals during the third place playoff match against Mengo Futsal Club.
With the list going on and on, here are the top seven scorers both for their clubs and the league in general for this year’s Futsal season.
1. Bill Nkata (Kampala Junior Team – KJT) – 14 Goals
2. Travis Mutyaba (Synergy) – 12 Goals
3. Marvin Kavuma (Aidenal SOSA) – 11 Goals
4. Saidi Mayanja (Mengo) – 10 Goals
5. Abbas Junior (Park) – 10 Goals
6. Farouk Tumwesigye (Big Talent Soccer Academy) – 10 Goals
7. Faizal Wabyoona (Big Talent Soccer Academy) – 9 Goals
This list could change with each of these players still left with a single game to play before the season comes to a close on Saturday, with a final match between Big Talent and Park Futsal Club at Old Kampala Sport Arena.
